Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple held a solemn and meaningful Chinese New Year Blessing Ceremony on the 10th day of Chinese New Year. Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Selangor (EXCO) Y.B Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Selangor (EXCO) Y.B Ng Sze Han and Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri Selangor (EXCO) Y.B Hee Loy Sian were invited to attend the blessing and lamp offering ceremony.

Also invited to the event was Y.B Rajiv A/L Rishyakaran (Adun Bukit Gasing). The other rituals held included the great offerings to the Buddha, and the offering of lamps and blessings at the altar of Medicine Buddha. The event was solemn and extraordinary.

At the blessing ceremony, the Abbess, Rev. Chang Heng thanked the councils for their assistance in application of religious site of Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple in Petaling Jaya which was successfully approved this year.

At the same time, Rev. Chang Heng also thanked all the administrators involved in the application process, the joint effort enabled everyone to witness the historic moment together.

“With the support of people from all walks of life, Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple which has a history of more than 100 years, has been able to fulfil and realize the four major aspirations (charity, medical, culture and education) to benefit the community and all sentient beings.”

The Buddha said that all the dharmas appear due to causation and harmony. Rev. Chang Heng thanked everyone for spreading great bodhicitta and cultivating the field of merits.
Rev. Chang Heng also said that bit by bit their joyful dedication attained unison and everyone is needed in realizing the four great aspirations of Sau Seng Lum. She thanked everyone for their continued generosity and dedication.

“Good circumstances and good opportunities have created a year filled with prosperity and opportunities. This year is a new beginning, let’s delightfully make efforts to achieve everything. We also pray for the well-being of the country, may our country prosper and nation be at peace, and the pandemic will be eliminated as soon as possible.”
