Lamp Offering on Samantabhadra Boshisattva Festival
On the 21st day of the 2nd lunar month, Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple held the “Lamp Offering on Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Festival” to commemorate the great vows of Mahayana Bodhisattva and to pray for the early elimination of the epidemic, for world peace and may the world be free from natural disasters and man-made calamities, for the injured in the war to recover and for the deceased to have a good rebirth. In addition, to pray for all sentient beings to be physically and mentally stable and free from suffering.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva symbolizes the virtues of reason and conduct. He makes a broad and profound vow based on the deep bodhi mind. His body, mouth, mind and everything is pure, wonderful, and possess great virtue.

- Praising Tathagatas
- Extensively Conducting Offerings
- Repenting Karmic Hindrances
- Rejoicing in All Meritorious Deeds
- Pleading for Turning the Wheel of Dharma

- Constantly Learning from Buddha
- Always Accommodating to Sentient Beings
- Universal Dedication of Merits
The Abbess, Rev. Chang Heng encouraged the devotees to learn from Samantabhadra Bodhisattva to practice and diligently fulfil their great vows in their daily lives. With perseverance, possessing an attitude of not being afraid of difficulties and with continuous practice, their faith and truth are reflected in their lives and realize their good wishes and achieve the perfecting of self for the benefit of others.
