A statue of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva is placed in the bamboo grove to prompt us to always adapt ourself to the circumstances in our life or our job, so as to be free and unrestrained and to achieve peace and happiness.

As long as we are able to let go of anything in this world, we shall be free and unrestrained in whatever we do, i.e. move, stay, sit or sleep.
