Sau Seng Lum (Puchong) Exhibition Centre Celebrates Wesak Day
On Wesak Day, the lamps of mind are lit up to commemorate the graciousness of The Buddha Dharma. Sau Seng Lum (Puchong) Exhibition Centre held the Wesak Day celebration and welcomed the public and nearby residents from 10 am to 3 pm. The public participated in the bathing of The Buddha, lamp offerings to the Buddha, and reminisced The Great Buddha and shared the Dharma joy.
On the special day of the Buddha’s birthday, the public expressed their affection, gratitude, and repayment of kindness to parents, elders, relatives, friends, mentors and those they are grateful for and seeking to repay the kindness. In addition to lighting a lamp of mind and a lamp of peace, they also conveyed the most extraordinary auspicious blessings to them.
Besides lighting the lamps and bathing the Buddha, devotees and the public worshipped the Maha-Vairocana in the main hall, and then visited other distinctive Buddha statues and sacred places in the centre to explore the beauty of culture and arts, including the Ten Great Disciples of Buddha, 33 Goddess of Mercy, Mani Wheels, Crossing the Ganges River, The Wishing Hall, Heart Sutra Maze Hall, The Great Wall of Buddha ~ Shrine of the Medicine Buddha, Guardian of The Twelve Chinese Zodiacs, the 500 Arhats exhibition listed in the Malaysia Book of Records, and etc.
The charity sale held in conjunction with Wesak Day had also received enthusiastic support from the public, who have contributed to the non-profit Sau Seng Lum International School (Special Education). During the lunch hour, vegetarian food was served to develop good affinities with the visitors.
