On the serene and auspicious occasion of Wesak Day, Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple ignited hearts with its 44th Ten Thousand Brilliant Lights Offering to The Buddha. From the first light of dawn to the golden hues of dusk, devotees from near and far gathered in a vibrant tapestry of devotion, engaging in profound rituals—bathing the Buddha, paying homage to the Buddha, lighting lamps, making heartfelt offerings, chanting sutras, performing repentance ceremonies, and practicing generosity. A beautiful serving of vegetarian meals wove connections among all, inviting everyone to bask in the Buddha’s boundless light, purify their spirits, and cultivate the field of merits.
The Abbess of Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple, Rev. Chang Heng, shared words that resonated deeply: “Compassion is the heart of the Dharma, and wisdom its guiding light. Only by harmonizing compassion and wisdom can we spark a radiant hope for peace in a world yearning for harmony.”
Rev.
