2025-03-16 The 63rd Sau Seng Lum Happy Children’s Day Camp
“Gratitude Creates Abundance”
Amid an atmosphere brimming with joy and inspiration, the 63rd “Happy Children’s Day Camp” was successfully held at the Sau Seng Lum (Puchong) Exhibition Centre with the theme Gratitude Creates Abundance. This vibrant event welcomed 130 energetic children, who dedicated with a heart-warming and transformative day filled with meaningful experiences.
Throughout the camp day, children were guided to cherish life’s blessings while sowing the seeds of kindness and gratitude in their hearts through immersive and interactive activities. Thought-provoking short films, collaborative team games, and carefully crafted challenges—such as navigating the Heart Sutra Maze blindfolded and creating artwork without using their hands—allowed the children to deeply appreciate the value of health and wellness. These experiences also nurtured their sense of empathy, encouraging them to extend care and compassion to those in need.
Rev. Chang Heng, the abbess of Sau Seng Lum Buddhist Temple, personally distributed apples and words of wisdom to the children. With gentle yet profound words, the children were inspired to embrace the present and share generously, as these acts were the essence in life’s greatest blessings: “Every mindful effort to avoid waste is an act of cherishing blessings; every deed to uplift others is a step forward in creating abundance.”
Supported by the unwavering dedication of compassionate volunteers, the children laughed wholeheartedly, engaged deeply, and, almost imperceptibly, laid the foundation for a future grounded in warmth, integrity, and empathy.
This day transcended mere play and laughter—it was a profound journey of love, gratitude, and personal growth, leaving a deep-rooted mark on each young heart.
